Aberdeen International Curling: Day 2

David Murdoch and Bruce Mouat have secured qualification from the Yellow Section, they play each other this evening to decide who tops the group.  Bruce is not playing this weekend as he is concentrating on training for the mixed doubles next month.  In his place Duncan Menzies has stepped in at 3rd with Bobby skipping.

In the green section Cammy Bryce kept his hopes of qualification alive, he beat Jaap Van Dorp, Cammy now needs Tom Brewster to beat Van Dorp in tonight's game.  Tom is 3-0 after beating the Russian team with a controlling display.  Speaking after the game Glen Muirhead said "we were unfortunate not to score a couple of early doubles but hung in and dominated the latter half.  The ice is great and this is really good prep for next week."

On the ice at the moment, a big game in the Red Section as Kyle Smith takes on the undefeated Team Ulsrud. Brunner vs Keller, Macleod vs Hoiberg and Kauste vs Shuster
